Debra Weiss Ford is the managing shareholder of the Portsmouth, NH office of Jackson Lewis, PC where she has over 34 years of experience representing employers in litigation matters before the state and federal courts and administrative agencies in NH, MA and ME. She earned her B.A. from Drew University in 1979 and her J.D. from Temple University School of Law in 1982. Debra is a member of the NHBA’s Federal Practice and Labor & Employment Law Sections. She is also a member of the Massachusetts Bar; the Maine State Bar; the ABA; the NH Association for Justice; the American Arbitration Association; the American Board of Trial Advocates; and the National Association of College and University Attorneys. She was a member of the NH Board of Bar Examiners from 1993-2005. In 2003, Debra was appointed to serve on the Federal Court Advisory Committee; she was elected as a fellow to The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers in June 2006; and was selected as a fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America’s Trial Lawyer Honorary Society in 2014. She is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts in NH, MA and ME, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, the U.S. Claims Court and the U.S. Supreme Court. Debra lectures frequently at seminars in New England on issues related to employment law.
